If it hasn't come by then, try the GMail password recovery again.
I would pay attention to what yourdeadin says as well.
Furthermore, I can go to any machine in this house, log into ADSL or 56.6 dial-up, pull up GMail, enter my details and get into my account...............so the verification is at the GMail site and the information is not stored locally (you are obviously not using a password manager). This means that to "crack/hack" the password you would have to attack the GMail site.........................I would not do that if I were you :eek:

You know what's just terrible? The fact that every lamer on Earth has used that bullshit I forgot my password line and yet you can still reel people in with that? It's like the most pathetic of all Social Engineering attacks and the fact it can still work to people on HERE....
The hell with it, if you don't like my posts don't read them. But I bet the admins at Google would sure like to read this one.
I have just done a bit of research, that software is 6 months old..............do you really think that Google haven't done anything about it?
The original software was "genuine" in that it did what it said and no more, but, like anything of that nature it is not long before infected versions appear.
It is actually rather crude as it simply makes a dictionary/brute force attack via multiple connection attempts. Multiple connection attempts from the same IP address are not hard to detect, and if you have a strong password of more than 8 characters life is just too short?
Remember that GMail is in beta, so might be expected to have flaws. By the same token, it is being actively developed, so those flaws get fixed pretty quickly.
EDIT: So if you have a problem with the password recovery, tell GMail..............hell, that is the whole point of beta testing ;)
