You've obviously never read a post I've ever made. Hell I stood up for Windows 98 just last night.
I feel like I'm talking to a wall though, the last 3 days I've gotten at from others over **** like I said just what I was quoted on. I find something hilarious, post it and at least one ****er has to be like ohhhhh I don't like that!
Gore, I have read some of your posts (quite a few actually, I might add). That said, these last few posts come across as religious fervor (a la the old "my OS is better than your OS" -- anyone got a measuring stick?! :D). The argument to use Linux in place of Windows has to be more than cool factor. If it was entirely based on cool factor, we'd all be using Mac. I was rather surprised that Novell used that ad to target NT. Seriously. Don't get me wrong, it's humourous but falls flat when comparing a modern OS (2004/5) to a legacy one (1996/7). If they had done the comparison to Win2K (which most companies are just now migrating over to and getting the shock that support will go) then it would have far more ramifications, IMO. I'm also a bit dismayed that Novell is taking this route (cheap shots, albeit humours and somewhat true). I always thought they were above Microsoft in this manner.
