On a positive note, at least MS seem to be buying themselves back into the security market rather than trying to develop the products themselves.
I have been somewhat disappointed by the multifunctional products from some of the specialist AV vendors of late. Poor scores in tests, resource hogging, conflicts and instability come to mind.
Doubtless competition will force them to improve, but the MS approach seems more direct...........buy the technology and the expertise then all you have to do is integrate, which is what we are doing with multiple vendor products at the moment?
