Well actually...and I'm not being sarcastic or trying to be rude...as a person who was a freelance artist for a number of years...taking from many sources and putting them together and creating a new design is multiple theft...instead of stealing from one source...you've chosen to steal from many sources.
In school we call it a collage...when you graduate from grade school it's considered theft...unless you've received permission from the original artists or owners to use their work...like when you buy a clip art disk.
Just because it's common and artists can't afford to hunt down and prosecute every violator doesn't make it legal.
Most artists don't have the time or the resourses or the inclination to hunt down the thousands of people who steal their work.
They just accept the fact it going to be stolen.
