It's not like Iraq though black ice lol...
If you guys take the job as an IT guy, I highly doubt you would even see any action, you would spend most of your time IN the military bases. The only way I see any IT guys being attacked is if they're staying in a hotel like the journalists...
The Republic of Ireland is not occupied, Northen Ireland is though and I heavily disagree with that aswell, in fact it's why I hate imperialism, call it liberation but the Irish did what the Iraqis are doing now so you can see why I find it hard to support the war there.Quote:

It's ok really. I live in one too - Texas never surrendered at the end of the Civil war - we agreed to a cease fire. In addition, we never joined the US - Texas, it's own Republic at the time, allowed the US to illegally annex us.
For further info, read our state constitution. You can also read about some of the Tom-Foolery that occurred here, but there's doubts from certain sects as to its accuracy:

You can read the other side of the coin here:

Now keep in mind all this is tongue in cheek, but some of those radicals at the Republic take it seriously...
[edit] You can find a solid copy of the Texas Constitution here - and it's huge:

if given the opportunity I would probably go to Iraq as an IT guy as well. Would be a chance to learn more, see part of the world (hopefully not die), be employed making enough money to pay off some debt, and get some clearence hopefully allowing me to work contract for the government... Id prolly do it
