Personally, I refer to them as theocrats and socialcrats, with a bunch of mind dead treehuggers thrown in both sets. Moral majority my azz....they aint niether.

In most (Western) countries, liberals are right, and so are conservatives. Socialists are mildly left, communists are extreme left, conservatives and liberals are mildly right, and racists (lack of a better term) are extremely right. And the church is in the center (lol).
Almost all European countries (except Italy and the Eastern countries) have socialist governments (mildly left) with a lot of conservative and liberal influence (mildly right), or conservative/liberal governments with a lot of socialist influence.
In the European Parliament for example, the right consists of:
- Democrats ("European Democrats"), consisting of Catholic parties.
- Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party, consisting of Liberal parties.
and the left:
European Socialists
United Left
Green / European Free Alliance

We are quilty of lumping people into either category here and calling it good. When in reality there are differences in politics and many that we all agree on, outside of the lunatics. For instance I am labeled a wing nut (exteme right) but I am athiest. :rolleyes: I believe in social programs that promote infrastucture and liberal arts... but I think Christians have as much a voice as a socialist. If a socialist can spew communism (we tend to consider all socialists communists) and smoke pot in a public park supported with federal money, some christian should be able to spew his own reality. So I again get labled rgiht when that is actually a very liberal viewpoint if you can get past the fringe anti christian viewpoint.
To muddle things more, I would call Ted Kenneday a far left lunatic for instance. And thus lump anyone who agrees and praises him the same. Probably not true, but like them I praise Bush and get called a red neck bible thumper. :p
I think it's rather degrading to themselves when blacks or hispanics consider someone "not black/hispanic enough" because they went to Harvard, speak with Oxford grade English, or hold a position of high authority. Saying those things, are merely saying that they themselves cannot do any better than low level ebonics and poor social/economic class--and that in fact those things are their rightful place. I feel bad for those Black/Hispanic Americans who point the finger at someone for not being "ethnic" enough.
It is actually a fact of life that the biggest racist in a lot of cases are the ones who complain the most about racisme.
I allpy that same line of thinking to a lot of scenarios.

Ok. So what I get out of this article is: Any black person that supports a conservative agenda is automatically labled as an Uncle Tom.
I used to live in a predominately black neighborhood, in fact the only other white people I ever saw were the two guys who ran the hardware store down the street who closed up at 5 every day and left.
I worked in a warehouse district that had a bunch of homeless people living two doors down in a bunch of abandoned vehicles and a bunch of gang guys ( bloods I think...crips were nearer to where I lived ) dealing drugs on the other corner.
I did work for APA ( Martian Luther King's frat out of Morehouse ) and did work for other black organizations including The Nation of Islam and the Black Policeman's Association.
I had plenty of conversations with them about these topics and the biggest problem black america faces is not with white people it's with how black's veiw themselves and their world around them.
