For Sinus headaches: Eat some hot salsa, or some hot peppers. Clears em up a little bit pretty fast, at least enough to start relieveing a little. This also works when you are really plugged up from sinuses.

Well I can sit and stare at a computer for days and not het headaches, so computer monitors certainly don't give everybody headaches. I think I either simply have good habits when it comes to staring at computer screens, or because I've been staring at them since I was, I'm just used to it.
It may help that the ambient light in the room is never too bright, the monitor is always at head level, and I'm regularly adjusting my posture. I guess I just do that out of habit to be comfortable, but maybe it's what keeps me from getting headaches. I also smoke, so a 10 or 15 minute break always comes along every couple of hours.
But I don't really do anything special to avoid it. Most of my headaches are caused by lack of sleep / oversleep or not eating enough. I would look into causes other than computer monitors, although a UV filter for your monitor has been known to help some people.
Ola:
Quick update: I visited the chiropractor and the two vertebrae I had mentioned previously were the the main culprits - he had to work a bit more to get them adjusted. He also found some muscle spasms in my neck. It was weird in that as he hit one of the pressure areas, he triggered the headache, then hit another area and it went away.
Also found out that the flourescent lights, while they provide an excellent resource to help me turn paler that, in conjunction with the monitor, works as another trigger.
I think the breaks may help too once in awhile.
To be honest though - and again - I had a brain lapse about this, but regular visits to the chiro once every couple of weeks, seems to really cut down my headaches. If you wish to check it out, I would first check with your health insurance, if you have some, to see what they cover.
Thanks for all the responses and help - I greatly appreciate it!
Buenos Dias.
