my first thought was he is on the mailing list. However I want to just CYA.
other passwords would be a no. However just to make sure I checked all the service groups/accounts that he would need access to to either add himself to in order to read email/gain access and they were all normal. Passwords for those accounts are gibberish and created when we first create the account and NEVER logged. they are around 20 characters of alpha numeric and just random keys on a keyboard that we were able to type in twice...
He never did any of those himself. In fact he barley had a role in the company at all... Hence the reason he is gone now. So let me know what you all think.
Does anyone know of a quick way to Audit AD and get a list of groups and memberships quickly besides going group by group by group?

I think GFI LANguard NSS does a pretty good job.. !
Can make special Group/User reports as well.
