Anyway back to being serious I know all the pro-gun people will say that the guns would be set up in protected areas. But what bothers me is the principle of basically setting a gun unattended in the wilderness I know it is not as straight forward as that but ...
Also for the thing to work animals would need easy access to the gun site. That means people would have easy access unless you put the animals in a big cage and let them wander around till they walk in front of the gun. That would be similar to the safari companys who buy old lions and tigers put them in small cages and they charge rich americain, russians and japanees a fortune to shoot them throught the bars. As far i am concered if you want to hunt you should get up and go out into the woods and do it right.

Here is what the liberal media always missed or leaves out. Gun Nuts are safety consious. An unattended gun in the woods. all by itself is a BAD thing. Even if you are a drunk redneck. I think any kind of staged hunt is for losers but at least tell it like it is. In fact I think any kind of high powered rifle and a ATV is for losers as well. If you aren't going to huff it on foot and carry the bitch out like a man, Go to friggin walmart and buy a steak.

Hey, I am not against hunting camps. But the one's where they ride you in on a golf cart, entice the animals in with feed and let you shoot it while they take care of everything else is just pussy in a box. :p

It was a joke.............Camp Perry and Bisley Camp are our respective national target shooting ranges.

Over here you usually (except for important matches) take your turn at buttmarking (that's scoring the targets :D) There is no "hunting" other than for medals, cups and suchlike.

Now if you have to score a target at 1000x, would you rather walk down a muddy track or get a lift?.............anyways the ATV is handy for shipping the six-packs? :D

I figured it was a joke since all the links I found to those are for competition shooting. But I wanted to blab anyway. :) When I was in England I lived in the country side. No pub in the town .... ghastly. The landlord used to host pheasant hunts and he showed me pictures of some Fox hunts he had. The political climate was not to forgiving on Fox hunts when I was there. I would think an operation I described would be shut down immediately in England because those guys are pussies. For the record: I rented a place and lived in Holwell, Herts. Great peeps there, except my wicked neighbor Cruella DeVille.

Bisley is a great place.
I used to shoot in the cadet cup when I was under 18.
Top 30 was my best (3rd in Scotland as well that year)

I wasn't bad with an L81.
Best bacon rolls ever from the wagon there.
Mind you no hot showers, no showers at all the first year I was there just a horse trough.
We use to sneak across to the public camp site to get some hot water.

We use to arrive for the last day of the main privateer compitition, the name of it fails me, might have been the Queens cup.

I never had to buttmark at Bisley but I've done my turn at a few ranges.
