I come from a small seaside resort (holiday) town. I was walking along the beach a few days ago and met this old Brazilian lady and gentleman walking their dog. I noticed that the dog was playing with a small football...............we got talking, and naturally the conversation strayed to soccer.........Quote:

The gentleman was most proud that the dog would jump in the air and bark when Brasil scored a goal.............I asked him what the dog did if Argentina or Portugal scored? his wife was most apologetic saying "we do not know senor, we have only had the dog 17 years............"

Years ago "snowbirds" were Canada geese that used to migrate here for the winter.............like I am going back 50 years...............now we have a resident population :)

I remember as a small child that when the Canada Geese came, it meant that winter was about to start :)

I actually saw the Canadian SnowBirds perform once along side the US Navy's Blue Angel flight team. Both shows were highly impressive to say the least.

I come from a big seaside resort (holiday) town in Florida, our back yard was a lagoon and we lived only a block from the Gulf. When our winter would creep in you would see nothing but those blue MI tags, flocks upon flocks of old farts speaking that yankee slang.....but I suppose the same would go for the Canadians.
I hope the Pensacola Naval Air Station, home of the Blue angels won't be getting the cut by Rummy. Wait until they get outfitted with theose new raptors, with that thrust-vectoring tech. They will be untouchable at the air show in France.
