Thats what I thought...but I did not have the issue first time around?
May get time to test again later.
I will roll back an update and try to update again.
Seeing I have them all store on my harddrive anyway ;)

no i dont have no spyware i can post .. hijackthis log here im 100% sure i dont ... for firewall im runing sygate personal pro ... an antivirus is kaspersky
also all update services ... update an background inteligent .. is runing an notin
i tryd both expres and custom and noting i get the same problem ... my other win2k machine is workin perfectly fine ... its conected true router i have and works fine but this one stoped workin an now hehe seems to me i cant get it back on track
i just tryd ... shuting down sygate and tryd without it and nothing same answer

add an "S" in there and run the update over SSL.
Tell me what happens.
ok sorry i forgot about that ... i had 3 things in there to fix after it was done it said
3 name space providers entery removed
21 protocol name removed
and it still ... give me the errors so it didnt help

Are you directed to the V6 update page? V6 is new and sucks balls. Try using the For Administrators link on the left somewhere and stumble around till you get onto V4, then scan for updates and see if it works.

You reformatted your HDD and reinstalled?
You should have the updates or a good firewall before venturing on the net?
And it STILL won't work?
Please check your device manager to see if anything has a problem...........
Otherwise, I would say that you have a pirate copy of the OS?...............failure to update would be a symptom of that?

and yes i found the problem as someone said ... sygate did block

i dono why or how did it got blocked but as soones i unblocked that and tryd update it worked just fine ... and no lol i paid for my win xp pro .. also if i had pirated version i wouldnt be able to get to that point to chose expres or custom instal ... so ya
