Yeah that could very well be the problem beacause I ran Hijack this and deleted some BHO's in IE that were corresponding to ActiveX, however I restored them and it still doesnt work. I also tried downloading that program and it didnt fix the problem. This is very frustrating, I am very computer saavy but for some reason I cant fix this.

nope not even that Windows XP banner. Its just a blank page, it looks like its gonna load and then it just loads a blank page.

Hmmm,

Update your AV and run it in safe mode. Some malware blocks the MS update.

Go to http://www.winpatrol.com

Use the IE helpers tab and delete all your BHOs, then try the update.

I would suggest you try using the Windows update icon rather than trying to go to the site directly.

If you need BHOs that you have deleted, you will be prompted to get them.

YESSSS!!! Figured it out. I had to download Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP at

so i guess i was missing a script file. Thanks all for your help

Ok. I have a network user XP Pro SP2 IE 6.latest AV current.

When user visits ONE SITE ONLY the page loads, but nothing is displayed in the browser.

I know the page has loaded because I can view the source. Mostly Java stuff and a Flash mod should be displayed in the center of the browser screen.

I cannot see the flash mod (or any text), but if I right click in the middle of the "blank screen" I get the flash menu options.

I have gone as far as setting security to low. Ensuring that activex and Java are installed correctly and installed the scripting engine as suggested earlier.

IE is updated and the cache is cleared including cookies.


Anyone ever dealt with this before? Ideas?
