Then they actually came out with one with an in-built tape player "yee-ha"
Mine was the same as mathgirl32, bought it 1980 for $100. Using a cassette recorder to store your programs was a real treat. :p

C64 as well and then one of those everpopular Tandy T1000SL's with 1mb storage card that cost me $350 for the card alone.
Then a Packard Smell P60 with W3.11.
Now about every two years, I'll go out and buy the fastest MoBoard, CPU, etc., I can get (and of course a couple of months later, it's outdated already:( )

Commodor 64 -- got it for Christmas. Later acquired a 300 baud modem, the only thing that types slower than me !!
