I'm assuming that if you use Firefox you're Ok...I do have IE but I only use it for Update...and it's at the highest security settings.
I don't have a lot of confidence in ' use at your own risk ' patches that don't really solve the problem...or.. something that someone like myself may not be able to reverse if a patch does come out.

my IE is set to 'prompt' for permission which is where it should be IMO but if ms set prompt for activeX by default the general public would be up in arms claiming ms is making computing difficult in order to sell books or classes or some such bs. even though those that know computers also know there's bound to be another hole found using activeX. there always is no matter how many times they fix it.
