So North America isnt lagging behind by much, and i really dont need any more then my 2.5mbps dsl.
My sister uses cable and it realy sux compared to my DSL. She has a 1 Meg package but suffers from awfull lag when playing on line games at high usage times.
im on some studtent chepo dsl, so it actually ranges from1.4-2.3mbps, depending on how well the company is doing that day. i prefer dsl over cable, just because i like consistancy with my connection, and that i dont have to depend on downloading late at night to get the files i need.
I have 1/2000th of a T3 connection :P
It's free and much faster than my dial up at home. Sucks when everyone gets on though...
hrm, my cable connection was recently upgraded to 6mb and I thought that was impressive :)

I can not see gigabit-to-your-home being a standard anytime soon, a gb is still ALOT of data. Then again, a man once said 64k would be enough for any one.
Hey, hey 16k, what does that get you today? you need more than that for a letter, old school ram-packs are much better... :D
