As for how keyloggers work.. What we are useing now as our benchmark on understanding then is out of date. an advanced keylogger has moved past the simple keyhook process manipulation. And in a corporate enviroment I would certainly want to protect/detect beyond the kliddie stuff.

Most keylogger detectors use signatures not heuristic scans,i am writing a treatise on keyloggers;
i will present it as soon it is ready :) .I will also show how to detect keyloggers heuristicly.

Run Spybot and/or Ad-Aware, update your AV software and run that. Most keyloggers are detected by these apps. You might also try online AV scans.
