Have you tried removing Spyguard and some of your other programs? That would isolate the problem down to just IE. (or have you, as I suggested earlier, downloaded another browser to see if you are having the same problems using them?)

you should download another browser for sure, if it works better remove IE.
If it dosent work better remove IE anyway.

If you don't allready have it, you should get Microsoft Antispyware Beta this has a useful function for restoring all of your IE default settings, you can also view what BHO's you have for IE, as well as checking your additional toolbars, if you have any. ;)
