Download one the Ultimate Boot disk, (FDD version.. but I think the CD Version supports the same files)
there is a group of partition tools.. one of them will do the job,, Ranish always came through.
Delete the Partitions on the HDD. if all your going to do is run Win98 and the HDD is 40Gb or smaller then fine no problems.
now check your Boot Order, install the Win98 CD and do whatever partitioning you wish now..
run the install and Bob's your Aunty..
only prob as I mentioned earlier is the driver support..
One nice toy to have is the "Un-offical Win98se SP2" installer very handy, allows some handy hints.
As for Games I assumed you were refering to older games.. the DOS games etc.. as for recent games .. pick XPee, or other compatable OS. certainly many latest Win games are DirectX 9 compatable, and DX9 isnt so hot on 98..(is it supported? I think with se it is).. but they will run better on XP than 98.. Look at BlackVipers recommendation for running services in the games setup.
But Dos games definatly 98.

I have never had any problems removing XP. I always use a 95/98 boot disket fdisk>delete partition>reboot>fdisk>create partition and make active> run format.exe
format c: /s
reboot with cdrom support, then > d:setup, where d: is the cd drive.
I would make sure you can get 98 drivers for all your hardware first.
