In terms of general computer-related stuff, I'm partly self-taught and partly formally educated. I've taken plenty of courses (and taken some of them with a grain of salt ;) ), but I've found some of the most interesting material was never in a curriculum. Also, I've been very lucky to have some great instructors, including MsMittens, who have spurred me on in directions I had never considered.Quote:

In terms of security, I'm still very much a student, mostly classroom-educated but teaching myself more and more all the time.
I never did a re-write. I found that sec_ware's comments proved most useful and I let the political scene do its thing.

I recently answered a Goggle questionnaire ( they're looking for 'staff') One of the questions was "What's your greatest hack"?
My greatest hack was ending all monetary transfers to and from a bank. Remember, this was 15+ years ago when security was a dedicated line. The bank in question said that I had $3.25 on deposit and charged me $5.00 a month in penalties. I argued that I could not pay the five bucks as I only had three and a 1/4.
After being contacted by a collection agency, I deleted my account and the bank was unable to do any "electronic" transfers for 48 hours.
I calculated that the banks loss was WAY over the $45.00 they said I owed - ($5.00 per month). I didn't take any cash; which I easily could have, rather opting for making the bankers life miserable.

I would say i am self taught. I started way back with a ZX 80, no tape drive after that i went on to a commador 64 and the texas Instruments TI 99/4A in the local libary. You could say it was my first job in computers showing other people in the local libary how to use the computer. After that I got my hands on an Amiga 500. I still consider the amiga as the best home computer ever made (Sorry to all the ST fans :D). Like most of the others here most of what i know is through on the job experiance and the fact is I will read anything with a cover and pages. Actually the cover is an optional extra.
I ripped code from hundreds of people and learnt how to program through example. The social engineering comes natural though. I can make people convinced that I know something about computers and I R t3h l337.

And agian, all this started when he banned and blocked me for saying that he has no leverage or control over me. The bumping thing came after he had banned a few accounts for posting. I know for a fact that he has banned atleast one account which was not even mine. And im not even talking about Katja.

First...I knew it was you...even though you left out the tell-tale birthday and other hints...:D
Second...Your not proving anything by doing this except the worst expectations of you...if you want to stick it in people's faces prove that you're smarter than people give you credit for...personally, I'd like to see it...I do enjoy being right :D and so far all you've done is prove me wrong.
Third...What's the enjoyment in being banned? And I doubt Neg wants this to escalate...likely he'd rather not have to deal with it at all.
I can only see one of two things happening here...1. you letting go of this stupidity and becoming an extemely good member of this site...or...
2. you end up pi@@ing off everyone and there won't be any reason for you to come here at all because you won't have any friends left.
