To sleep in.................get up around 10:00, have a nice cup a tea, read the paper, turn on the news, open a couple of ties(hmm presents).
Then make the rounds.
The kids are no longer kids.............TG!!!! I think :(
I remember the trick my parents used to use to keep us in the bedroom until at least 6 am was to fill up a sock with of course, nuts, oranges, candy and a couple of dollar type toys, or comic book.
Now it's open the wallet, extract what's available, pass to teen, watch exit to mall, espescially for the girl, who wants to buy the "wrong clothes"!! and have to go through that on Christmas morning, I know we succumbed to consumerism of today, but what can you do?
Kids spoilt today? jeeeesus, has anyone else seen that show on TV called "The Nanny", if I had acted that way back when I was that age, my old man would have shipped me off to the mines, after giving me the ol leather belt treatment. (snap)
Parents don't have a chance, with today's toddlers, I think they come with a lawyer now at birth, and later an agent :D
