Damn fire killed it. :/ Someone's bound to notice.
I would LOVE to see you 're-BOOT' your PC :DQuote:
I've been a monitor tossing, keyboard breaking and laptop flinging enthusiast for years now..
It was probably after one of THOSE days, and you'd just said the magic words "Ah well, be positive, it could always be worse" :eek:Quote:

I used to have a couple of vids staring me and a coupel of mates at http://ne2000.nl/
But can't find it anywhere..
But here is the Dutch Mac freak club having fun at laptop throwing (dutch, but mostly pics and vids) http://www.macfreak.nl/0-extras/0-mf...rslag.shtml#85
Trash this computer :)
If you get just the right combination it sounds like a Nine Inch Nails song.
that is a fun stress reliever :)

I finally exploded. I completely lost it. I feel great.
I ended up screaming "**** America!!! Praise Taliban!!!!" at the DMV.
But I got my license back so it was all good in the end.
I have a mate who got so frustrated with his box, he shot it with a divers harpoon gun. Went straight throught he side case, nicked the HDD and smacked into the processor. He then covered it with lighter fuel and set fire to it. He then put some Hilti gun caps in the box as it was burning.
At that time my life all was a bed of roses and although I had a bit of a giggle at his expence. I thought the guy was nuts. Having said that, some time ago my laptop HDD gave out and died. This in its self was not to much of a problem. As I have a desktop also.
However, at a rather inconvieniant point of a course I was studying, the monitor of the desktop started to act up. A gentle tap would solve the problem, temporarily, then it got to, hiting the thing harder and harder and harder. All the while this was fixing the problem. One night however, having just split up with my girl friend, it started to act up and I belted it with my fist. Only I hit it so hard it left the table, hit and damaged the wall behind, then landed on the floor.
Luckly, it took out the RCB on my distribution board and didn't burst into flames. Miraculously it didn’t damage the computer.
The ironic thing is, my ex was an anger management therapist in quite a tough prison. She mentuned one night that I had some repressed anger in me. It's good to, just let it all out some times.
For the record:
My best repair job on a digital camera was performed by using an aluminum baseball bat. The camera flew at least 250 yards, striking the parking lot pavement of a nearby Best Buy, which just happened to be the very store in which said camera was purchased. The camera, as expected, passed its flight test with amazing results, but failed the landing miserably, bouncing several times and exploding into little bitty bits and pieces.
Not the best repair job, but my favorite Laptop fix was to drop it from the side of a Bass boat into the blackened depths of Caddo Lake. The laptop was lit off at the time, showing that wonderful windows BSOD. Needless to say it didn't show me that BSOD ever again. The laptop in question, I might add, was a Dell.
One final word:
Monitors make wonderful targets on the pistol range.
[edit]FYI the equipment mentioned in the above 'repair' jobs belonged to an ex-girlfriend who neglected to remove it from my house for a time greater than 30 days, therefore said property was considered to be 'abandoned' and ownership reverted to me. I took great pleasure in doing unto said property.[/edit]
