We need to take all the people like this in the world. Put them in an arena. Then tape swords to their arms and pump them full of LSD...Quote:
Asexual deviant who repeatedly abused a child over a four-year period
Then let them go at it….
or better yet. give them an IV drip to keep them alive and saw off there limbs one by one... (no pain killers)

I honestly like that idea... seriously. Let's do it. I hope the judge is long remembered in the public eye for the crime HE commited. Rehab is no hope for these kind of people. They need to be put in prison forever. FOREVER.Quote:
Perhaps the punishment for sexual offenders needs to be reconsidered... an open jail cell in which they are chained with their face/stomach against the wall.... a table with a bottle of lube... and free access for all the other prisoners to relieve themselves... After all can you consider human rights for someone without humanity

Food for Thought:
Since the 1950s the US decided that prisons were no longer to be a place of punishment and damnation, but of temporary consequense and centers for rehabilitation. They did not want to hold everyone forever, so now they "cleanse" and reintroduce felons to society (supposedly). This has followed trends in most studies, presidence, and policy stating that treatment, not jail-time or punishment is the answer ever since.
However, criminals are exponentially being galvanized for their pasts, tracked, declared to the local populations as a criminal (through legislation & policy). US society is very close to having a "once guilty, always guilty" policy towards offenders; almost regardless of offense, punishment served, time passed since the crime, and treatment received.
My question is, why is our justice system focused on rehabilitating the criminal vs. punishing them if society will never allow them to be a rehabilitated citizen? Is one crime all we get before forever being stigmatized? Is there no such thing as redemption?

Hi Evil Moo,
I can see your point about redemption however, what possible redemption could there be for a person who abuses a child for 4 years?
Basically i look at it this way when it comes to paedophiles. It is probably quite possible to rehabilitate some of them, but as with everything you need to be rehabilitated for there is always that chance of a relapse. Now with a lot of things that chance that the individual may relapse is worth the risk in the hope that they can contribute, however in the case of paedophiles a relapse would mean abusing another child, and i think that is a risk that should never be taken.
Honestly, i'm with the lynch them party.
