Interesting side note:
I was watching on HBO (of all channels) the other night a show that Penn and Teller hosted regarding Poligamy/Polyamory/Homosexual Marriage.
Penn's closing argument was quite interesting indeed. I'm quoting from memory so it might not be precisely accurate:
"To get someone on the show that opposed Polyamory was easy. One person, one release.
To get a couple on the show that supported Polyamory was a bit harder. Two people who were willing to sign releases and not fear what the public, their friends or family thought of them.
To get four people in the same extended family on the show who had no qualms about revealing themselves, meaning everyone who associated with them knew, their families all knew, and they signed the releases, and their son signed a release and was interviewed as well, and for us to find them, was either astronomically impossible, or there's so much Polyamory going on under Uncle Sam's nose that the majority of Americans are doing it."
Nuff said. If anyone remembers the name of the show please let me know - it had something about 'bullshit' in the title.

I think where it will get interesting,if it does become law, is the benefits (spousel), who gets what when the husband dies, or who gets the kids, or who gets what percentage of his pension, oy the headaches....also when filling out his tax claim, does he get more then one spousel benefit or expense?
