you risk doing more damage do your system if you repair when you could replace
smoked my IDE controller once with a bad cd-rom... smoked a powersupply when i tired fixing a power connector
you can repair cars... you are suposed to.. they get you 200k miles down the road in your life
you really cant repair computers on that level... yes you can... would be a cool project... but other then that.. whats the point
