That was more a reference to the days when AMF bought out the family business and completely ruined the Harley's. At that time, you saw more H-Ds on the side of the road, or in the back of pickups ("harley haulers") than actually being ridden on the road.

funny, when my leg heals and I get some compensation, I was gonna get a Harley. Only cos I thought I ought to slow done some though. I never liked em, but sound great, and the chicks dig them.... and lets face it, what do they know?
