AFAIK /3GB switch refers to virtual memory, not to the real one. Windows Virtual Memory Model (32 bit) allows up to 2GB for each address space. If you need more, you should use /3GB switch. To support PAE and other extension (32 bit), you must choose the appropriate version of windows.Quote:

Im not sure if Win 64 model needs /3GB switch (need to dig on google)
