its software. the unexpected might and can always happen. and there is always a way around everything if you know how.
I have original Microsoft disks and some of my machines started experiencing this problem i solved it by downloading legitcheckcontrol.dll. I then moved this file into windows\system32 and the annoying icon has disappeared.
EDIT: Few others have been moved to SUSE Linux.

I still will need to reinstall the whole thing, as quite a few things went pare shaped lately :(
I run Linux on my other system, trying to get to grips with it and get my games my games running. Once I do, I might just dump Microsoft for good :)

so vista has moved up to 2007. damm.......i was looking fwd to a new laptop with vista end of this year.
