Okay I just tried to Add/remove in offline and it works fine. Also one more problem sound icon no longer comes on the task bar. If i try to tick where is say "place volume icon on taskbar"
I get following error.
A work around would be to go to start-accessories-entertainment-volume control if the icon isnt on your task bar.

There is nothing in Ent. menu. whats wrong ?
control panel, and use the add new hardware thing, and re-install the sound driver with the winxp install cd.
