However, there are forums that I participate in where I would rather people not know... such as local news sites that have forums and I end up pissing a lot of people off there. Or, a site where I might need advice on relationship stuff or whatever.

I'd rather keep all of those areas separate and I'll even go as far as using TOR on such sites as the local news forums. The last thing I want is some psycho on that board (there are many) showing up to my workplace or home or vandalizing my vehicle, etc.
