I also read a lot for gpedit.msc for Win 7 Home Basic and i finally found that gpedit facility is not in Win 7 Home basic.
although it has really very basic features as compared to ultimate and premuim.
i dont have the aero enabled in it although there are forums as posted by @westin but that does not works.
and it was really a pleasure getting a reply from nihil
