I think you will upset more people with your selections than you will make happy if you start mixing music styles. Play one and stick with it if you want to have the best luck.

you should think of getting some punk stuff on there! like the misfits, ramones, anti-flag, the clash, the bodies, the distillers, rancid, minor threat, the cramps, the business, crass, conflict, dropkick murpheys, agnostic front, etc... maybe even some ska!... the specials, madness, the toasters, desmond dekker, etc... Punk, Ska, Oi, stuff liek that might be and idea:)

i think that i agree with a lot of other people, that we like different kinds of music. but i was mainly concerned about how this will affect the loading time of the page and will it be considerably slower over all or will you impliment something to counter react that?

Whatever gets played on the radio station will be good: Why? Because its on AntiOnline. This site has nothing to do except make awsome into incredible. Adding a radio station will be awsome, no matter what genre of music is played the most.

Hey JP, great idea for the online radio. But I'm curious to know how you licence this music. And if you can licence what we want. I mean...for now, heavymetal and techo are at the top. But what if you are unable to licence these genere's of music? Just a question. Great idea anynow. Keep up the good work :) :) :D
Why are techno & trance under same category? I like techno & electronic but can't stand trance...
Some bands I like are Offspring, Fatboy Slim & Limp Bizkit.

Until JP sets up that radio, you might want to try this (RealPlayer ). It's my favourite station. It's dutch, but to make up for that, they play a wonderfoll balanced mix of alternative music. If you think you can decode the language, take a look at their site.

Well, i have to say....props to all those that voted country :) I know..don't flame me...LOL...Im a cowboy from oklahoma (i know it seems oxymoronical) I am also a computer tech....I like everything but rap, r&b and blues......I do wonder though, why we have to acceed to the demands of the recording industry, but hey, im not the judge that screwed the online radio stations over. Anyways, enough of the rant, just wanted to say that this is an awesome idea, but it would be kinda nice if there were some radio shows having to do with security discussions and the like :)
PS: I also would like to know if it is going to slow our loads anymore than they already are....I just have a dialup, so sometimes, the loading is unbearably slow.
