I got rather tired of the handle thingie, so I dropped it altogether and just use my name...
I used to have a few from my younger years... most were lame though... *shakes his head, remembering he was once called XS_InSaNiTy*:rolleyes:
The only thing close to a handle that I have kept is MrX, and thats only cos its my initials....

I used to love playing Quake (still do...) and I'd kill myself so much I thought it was a natural..... also it sounded kind of sinister....Cyanide cocktail anyone? (with a pineapple twist, of course)
This, ZeroOne, is my second handle. The first one was Starman, but I got enough of it a year or so ago when every time I arrived someone quoted David Bowie ("There's a staaarman waiting in the sky..."). :rolleyes: And it wasn't exotic enough. :p I made it up in just a few minutes while beginning my first Lord 2 game (a MUD game played in those old BBS's :)).
Then I wanted a name with some exotic letters, Z sounded good. The first word beginning with Z I came up with was Zero, but since that wouldn't be so good, I added One, which is much better. I also have accounts in some places with name "vs01": my initials + ZeroOne; vs is too short and vs1 sounds a bit miserable... Like "I didn't get the name Killer, so I am now Killer297, which was the first 'Killer' available"... ;)
ZeroOne might not be very unique, but at least its got "Z", which is an exotic letter, so it looks cool... :) And I don't personally know any other ZeroOnes.

I need to do a bit of venting, you don’t have to read this I don’t want to bore you. Just, you have always been there for me, you’re a good friend and right now there is know one who understands me better. I wish I had some one here to talk with, someone who can feel with me. I’m slowly destroying myself; every emotion, every thought, every breath I breath is being trapped within. All I need is to get it out but I don’t know how. This bit of venting will help for now, but it won’t suffice.
Frequently I find myself stuck in a cell with no doors, nowhere to go. I never seem to leave these cells, now practically an entire penal complex. Instead I redecorate and try to believe every thing is ok. More and more I’ve found myself jumping between cells, a prisoner of my own mind, if you will. Even still it goes deeper, a reoccurring pattern set off by ordered chains of events. I keep getting worse, either I’m sinking or the ceilings are raising regardless I feel smaller.
Often, I turn off, all the walls lift up and I can see but I’m not really there. I’m still sitting in my cell looking for a door, doing all I can to create one.
When I turn on, all the walls sink away as long as I’m fully saturated with something does not matter what or who. When I’m done or its over the walls return in there original state, door less. Sometimes bleaker and sometimes brighter but they always return.
I’ve learned to live within the confines of my cells and its killing me. I must escape, but how. Sometimes I hide the thoughts and feeling in a cell deep within my prison and feel as if I have forgotten. All it takes is the smallest of disturbances the smallest amount of reminiscing to throw back into even the deepest of cells.
Recently, in fact, last night I was ruthlessly hurled into a cell I’ve visited many of times. One of which, I thought I had fixed the broken knob and escaped into the brightness of day. But no, I’m in that cell now and its drearier than ever before. Its not so much the place I’m at that bothers me but that I thought I was through it and yet its still there and its gotten worse with my lacking visits. Are there other cells left neglected that I will one day be forced to visit again and will I be able to handle their darkness.
Thank you for letting me vent, it helped a bit.

i got mine from the Henry Rollins' spoken word album "Think Tank". I loved the album so much and I think the title pretty well describes my "lot in life" so I 14m3d the title out a little and came up with thinkt4nk.
My name actually was my second choice after I found that someone else already had my handle. Anyway I use this name because I often quote from the bible even though I don't attend church.
Heh mine was from the game Age of Empires: Rise of Rome. When you type in different numbers in the chat screen, different sounds/effects would sound (according to the number you put in.)
One of the sounds that came out was a man saying "You're a loony." So I shortened it to uraloony. :)
The reason behind the name. DC comics used to have an adult comic book called "Preacher". Anyway I only have one issue, the first, and it was super violent and pretty damn cool. This also explains my new avatar. Im not a "Jesus-Freak", I just like comic books.
i have a true horrorstorie behind my handle... There was a time when i used to just call myself "zion" but then a most annoying thing happened... some1 made a movie called Matrix (the movie r0x! and there were much rejoicing! weee!) but suddenly lots of scriptkiddies and gamers on the net were called zion... so I changed it to zion1459... the 1459 simply comes from the faq file RFC1459..... (and for those with an IQ below 100... zion means God, and the faq file is the IRC faq)
after doing many malitious things with trojan horses in front of my friends... They one day started calling me the EvilSeed... I liked it...

Not particulary interesting but my handle is the first letter of my forename followed by my surname, It's quick, easy to remember and indentify with, and it doesn't make me look like a sad lamer who has a handle like 'l33t h4x0r'.

well, like some I'm hiding from everyone that knows me because they will never know this handle, which gives me a sense of freedom and security. This id is not related to anything I do... although I have worked in an Italian restaurant before and good cheese cake is hard to find... then again I'm a sweet heart looking for a decent man that knows more about computers than how to turn on his pc and use the reboot button when he hangs up (maybe he will feed me cheese cake). I decided cheez_cake because it could be shortened to an affectionate term "c.c." or you could call me cheez. This comes from years of abuse growing up with nick names that I didn't like but learned to live with. (I still have quite a few with different groups of friends). Anything else you want to know then feel free to ask!

Well, this is actually my third handle I've used ever. It all started one day when I was looking for an email address. God, every name was taken. Even my own name (which is Ammar...who the hell is called Ammar?) was taken. So I was thinking, and see, I am (was) a subscriber to TwilightGavo Warez CD's. So my first handle was TwilightGavo56.
Then I just got bored with that and started thinking of another handle for myself. I wanted to put a name up that was catchy, yet got the feelings I had inside...No luck there. I settled with the name Asid (Acid), which got evolved to Asid_H4ck3r (hey don't laugh...i was like 12 or something).
Then finally I was reading one of my elite editions of Spiderman comic books. Well, actually Carnage. Which is where I got my name from. It's a three comic series with Venom, Spiderman, Carnage, and the Fantastic Four fighting. Well I *LOVE* Carnage the character (for all those of you who know of him you know what i'm talking about...). And the "Web" part I just got from Spiderman and Venom's "web" that they shot out. So I have a part of everybody in my name (Besides the F4...I just didn't like them at the time I guess). The brackets are just for show, make it look good and all. I think it's working too.
I also am *proud*, you could say, of my avatar. Just hope nobody takes it. Heh...i'm so sad...

Way back in the day, my grandfather was seriously into ham radio and used the callsign SilverFox. After he passed away, I picked it up for a game of quake and it just stuck with me.
Well, my handle comes from the electric chair. Once upon a time, bah bah bah, they used to send bad, very bad people to sit on this chair and try to fry the sh1t out of them. They referred this chair as sparky, cause sparks would start flying when the power was turned on. So, that's what I heard. As for the numbers that's my identification number from prison. LOL
well, i am really into superstitions and phobias, as i like to study about them, pretty good for a teenager, eh? anyway, everyone knows about the black cat superstition. I chose bc_013 as my 1st handle cuz bc stood for black cat and 013 stood for 13 (the unlucky number, duh!) That evolved into blakat but blakat got old after a while. i got a new email recently and had to decide what to use as my name (not e-mail address part ((not)[email protected]) but as the name that shows up when i send an email). I wanted to keep the cat part, i don't know why, and i had to decide upon a tough yet cool handle. I crossed my name (alex) with it and came up with Alleykat. Weird story, eh? A real weird one is when I started using griffinwing as a handle. I'm not going to get into tht one now. I've bored you enough.

Grimlock was the leader of the Dinobots(The T-Rex)...powerful, cunning in battle, and gruff though good at heart...if not cursed with a bit of a speech impediment :)
So a bunch of years back when I began my cyber-nerding in chat rooms, I needed a nick..."Rob" didn't seem cool enough, and I didn't wanna be real nerdy and pick "Optimus" or "Megatron" (Starscream sounded too much like a girl's name, according to my buds) so it went to my 4th favorite char: Grimmy.
Then as I went through some teenage years, got out of brainwashing sch...erm, catholic school, and developed a personality...I realized it fit me pretty well :)
So I shortened it to Grim (To be all 3l337 and stuff)...but that was taken, so I added "Man"

Having zero patience I hit the keyboard with both hands after several names were already used. Wouldn't you know it stuck for about seven years now.
Lotsa years ago after being at the pub I logged on irc quite drunk, I don´t know how but I ended up with the nick Puh-Bear after that. Puh is the word describing the sound of exhaling in swedish but also the swedish short for Pooh (as in winnie the pooh) A girlfriend started giving me Pooh stuff and others picked it up too. A bit after that Pooh-Bear was available on DalNet and I registered it, since then I´ve gotten used to it. :D
After trying dif handles when i was younger and in hanging about in chatrooms like excite (hangs head in shame) - I decided to change it when a friend of mine got me into irc. The guy who got me started in irc had a website called Giragast.com - the viking hell so I thought as a bit of a piss take I would use the word for the viking heaven valhalla, but seeing as that was taken i tweaked it a little and came uip with valhallen - what started off as a piss rip has now stuck tho it has variations: val` val_O `-val-` v_Ln etc

I chose souleman because I am neither man, nor wo_man. I live in the spirt world, ie. soule man. Oh wait, that would be soulman wouldn't it.
Ok, then it is because I live on the bottom of a shoe, ie soule man. Oh wait, that would be soleman.
Maybe I just chose it because I am confused. Or maybe it was from the old Blues song..."Im a soulman" and from the ancient king Soulemian or however it was spelled. Or maybe it was because my friends called me that irl because I am male, and my last name is Soule. Not really sure though.

zaddikim is the plural of zadok (and I know there's a Zadok552 or something in AO), an Aramaic word from about 2000 years ago, associated with the Essene community in ancient Jerusalem. Zadok means either "son of light" or "Son of truth", (but my memory is a little fuzzy on that point). I just was struck by the power of the word itself, not for any specific religious significance. I've used it for about 7 or 8 years now. there are a few "zaddikim"' out there, but there are usually numbers appended to them. Works for me.
