hi peeps!
here's my box. i made a custom wallpaper which is a calendar/scheduler/appointment/contact manager all in one. it is made in coldfusion with access database for it's appointments and contacts. you can add/edit/delete/search appointments and contact records in the main desktop. the calendar and school schedule is javascript. i used a fine unobstrusive grid wallpaper background made is photoshop. the 2 icons on the right part of the systray is the monitor for my nokia 9210i connection. the one dot icon on the systray is mirc while the 4 dots is the ftp server. on it's left is the client ftp icon. i dont want my systray to be cluttered, but i dont want the xp "hide inactive icons" feature either. so i hide almost everything that i can hide in the systray. my box is running php+coldfusion+mysql+iis+perl and i dont want any of them to show up on the screen as much as possible. i used samurize for the disk usage, processor usage, upload, download speed graphs on the taskbar.
ciao! :D
I got a win 9X machine......But I got a linux partition :)
here's you may see my demon desktop ... hope u like it

I've tried to keep it as basic as possible with just a couple of tweaks...

Damn! why didn't I notice this thread earlier? OK here is my plain XP box, A few colors and fonts changed, (and of course the wallpapers) If you want Either of them, I made about 4 Matrix Reloaded wallpapers and zipped them HERE (if that link even works) Sorry about the size of the shot, I'm kind of a screen-fiend. I have dual monitors at 1280x1024 and 1024x768.
EDIT: that link didn't work, now it should.
EDIT: STILL doesn't... I hate my server... Just copy-paste http://acidreign.topcities.com/reloadedwallpapers.zip to your address bar and hit enter, that should get it
hey thanx for the reloaded wallpapers i love to collect them i have 100+
here's my XP Pro lonhorn theme .... doesnt look too bad :)
Hi all, this is not probably the right place to post this msg, but as i have noticed, most of you stated that you are using mandrake version 8/9 . my question is i have recently installed mandrake 9 and everything is fine except,
1. how do i put my linux box in the same workgroup as all my other windows boxes...at the moment, the linux box obtains an ip address from my dhcp server....but i cannt ping it from my laptop
2. how do i remotely log onto my linux box from my win 2000 pro laptop
answers please to [email protected]
thanks for your help
Here is my XP desktop, as you will see it's extremely plain. I am anal about too many icons on the desktop, so i don't have but a few. I would die without my quicklaunch bar. :p
