I agree somewhat. I mean, I love seeing that indicator bar flashing green, but for the most part, I'm here to learn, teach, know, and be known. I've been a member for, what, two years now? But I've only begun posting and making suggestions in the last few months. Until that time, I spent my time reading other posts, archived files, etc, and getting a feel for the land before I made a baboon of myself. I wasn't really an "active" member, but I was there learning just the same.

While I DO think that two years is too long to "get a feel" for this place, I don't appreciate little weasels who sign up without reading a damn thing and start asking how to "crack" this and that. Or they think they are clever and can trick us out of something. They know we are a giant think-tank. As a whole, we probably COULD do a lot of the stuff THEY ask us to do, but kinda goes AGAINST what WE do. That's why the AP system is there. To weed out the weasels. With senority comes stability and reliability.

Also, for SOME reason...it seems the people who have the most Positive APs tend to...how shall I say this...phrase themselves a wee bit better....

I mean, you see a post that is like:

I WANT TO RIP MY HAIR OUT! I mean...granted - there are some language limitations here, not a lot, but they are present. No offense to you. But even those people can piece together a complete thought in semi-understandable English! How many of Tedob1's, MsMittens, and Negative's posts totally lack subject-verb agreement, puctuation, and human/monkey understandability? Grrr....

Damn I never looked at this "AntiPoints",..... cuz I do not think that it is importan for me. All I need is just info. I growing up and need more knowledge. I always hope that I did'nt somthing wrong, agane. But I still do it often. I think that I have about 20 red points or more I do'nt realy know. I think that I will be banned soon(hope not) as usual cuz much of my post deleted. May be efter this post I do'nt know, but I feel me free here...... what should I do about this?

One thing that would help is to not post in old threads ( the ones with flashing dates )...

secondly, I wouldn't worry too much about your english, this obviously isn't MsBee's spelling class, you'll find that most people here can't spell, and word questions in such a way as only the poster knows what was said...

as for AP's...don't worry about them...if you have a few reds now you won't have them for long if, like you said, you're really here to learn.

If you had bothered to read the thread you would have seen where folks on the previous page were warning a different newbie about posting in a VERY old thread. Note the flashing dates in previous posts. This means that they're 'stale'. This particular thread is so old its bones are rotting, having been started in FEB of 2004. Feel free not to post in threads that have flashing dates.

Thanks for the post. Wish I read this earlier. Being new here, I didn't really know the rules and was just browsing the site to learn as much as I can. I came across a thread and posted a reply not knowing the thread was extremely old. I got a lot of guys calling me an a hole, etc..... which left me with all the neg points I have now. Damn, I hate guys who act tough on the interent. I should have lurked a bit more before posting, but this was just such a great site and I couldn't help myself.

Blah, I'd advise you not to post for now and get a feel for the place. Read up on some FAQ's, etc before you start posting again. This is, of course, if you want to stay and aren't just intentionally trying to be a troll.

To begin with i'm just a newbie, started learning the ins and outs of networking and ethical hacking.
I would really appreciate if people here could assist in making my life easier but providing feedback and tutorials and stuff.

Go to main page (click AntiOnline logo at top left), select discussion forums from Site menu box, then select appropriate forum, then use post new button.

Hint: Check out the dates on postings. If it's been over a year since the last post it's usually a good idea to not add anything further, just link to it if need be.

Hey Dino,

As I understand things, a thread remains open as long as it hasn't been closed by an administrator or moderator or merged with another thread, in which case it is still open, but under another identity.

Stuff "drops off" because we only show the last 20 or 24 posts to frontpage forums (like not Cosmos, GCC, Addicts etc.) If there has not been a reply, and enough new posts arrive, then the old post/thread will drop off the radar.
