You may be annoyed at him requesting not to be deleted, but that's no reason to neg him. It WOULD be if he posted his plea in security discussions, but unlike so many newbies -- lookie here -- he posted in the right forum!!! Gotta cut him some slack, he's going through the right channels.

If you get negged, you can do something about it, you can improve your posts/replies, better yet, take the time to post as though it is a tutorial, and use the guides written for that purpose.
Myself, I've been getting both good and bad responses to posts. At these times it is the comment with the AP's that can give you a clue as to what you are lacking. In my recent post on IP Addresses, the idea to write the reply as a 'tale' now seems to have been not so clever. However, you must carry on.
You are here to improve your understanding of IT, and if that is the case, then bitching about the lack of appreciation for your input is just stupid. As it is apparent that the quality of your replies leaves a lot to be desired.
Anyway, my 2 cents worth.
