Did you know AntiOnline has a spell-checker?
I know, "Beer has food value. Beer has no grammar value." ;)
Do these C&P's make you feel warm inside still?
Back to Cuba.
Cuba: Release Political Dissidents
"The dissidents were convicted on the basis of their political beliefs and nonviolent political activities." 99% ???
In mid-April, the U.N. Commission on Human Rights in Geneva passed a resolution criticizing Cuba’s human rights practices. The resolution stated that the Commission “deplores the events which occurred last year in Cuba,” a reference to the trials and sentencing of 75 dissidents. 99% ???
“The trial and conviction of these 10 dissidents show that political activists, independent journalists, and human rights defenders continue to be unjustly punished in Cuba" 99%???

"Cuban law provides that if more than 10,000 voters support a proposition it should be put to a referendum. To date, more than 25,000 people have signed the Varela Project petition calling for democracy and the respect of basic freedoms." 99% ???
"all 75 prisoners remain incarcerated and are reportedly being held in substandard and inhumane conditions." A peerie guess, another gulag slum?
"the government is harassing relatives of the incarcerated so that they avoid contact with other dissidents, threatening harsher punishments for their loved ones in prison"

ect..... Yeah, you can be weak-minded and live in pure untutored idiocy by believing the "99%" is authentic.
Did you know that AntiOnline's spell-checker doesn't work and never has?Quote:

English is my third language... I believe Latin must be at least your 5th since you misspelled "etc".
Funny how if you can't find a valid reply, you have to resort to misspelled replies to misspelled posts.
Ennis some thoughts, the US govt. does take a stance that Fidel launders money for organizations on our **** list. And why not? It's lucrative and pisses on the govt. of the United States. Seems like a perfect oppportunity to one like Castro. He though is NOT on the Axis of Evil list. If he was percieved as such the Cubans would now be returning to Cuba. The State dept has since claimed Cuba is "actively" seeking biological weapons. If true why would Castro seek that, he wouldn't be able to do much given his geographical location. It's about nothing more than holding the seeds of power of one excited by it. It gives him warm fuzzies I think. What's he going to do outside of feeling the rush of power? Bomb old british colonies that trade with him?
Negative, you speak excellent English outside of slang which you also do a good job. It would be like me trying to talk on the streets outside the massive train station in Zebrugge. I would need a blonde translator about 25 years old and 110 lbs. to get me through the basics. :)
What is the point of even debating about something like this when you have to resort to picking out petty spelling and grammatical mistakes? Isn't it the issues that should be important. If you have nothing to say, don't say it; and if that's because you cannot argue with a point that someone has made, be decent and admit it.
I'm not saying that either side is right, I'm just attempting to say that perhaps this debate has gone on long enough since now you are all simply flaming each other and repeating the same points that have already been repeated by everyone else. What is the point in this?
If you were all going to come to a conclusion, you would have got there by now, so it seems blatantly obvious that no-one is going to be willing to concede. There will be no middle ground on this.
Just look at the topic: "Communist Backed Broadband". Fair enough, the topic was innacurate. But you guys have not been anywhere near close to discussing the topic for many pages now. If you want to argue, perhaps this thread should be closed and a new one made, or perhaps you should start a conference. This thread appears to have degenerated into a flaming contest.
The point of discourse is meant to be to give information, to attempt to sway the views of others, or to reach some kind of middle ground...IMO, none of the above is likely to ever happen here.

Elsewhere, peer-conscious nations rushed to gain triumvirate status in what has become a game of geopolitical chairs. Cuba, Sudan and Serbia announced that they had formed the "Axis of Somewhat Evil",
