My nick (gothic_type) is a font (or at least used to be). I don't remember when I made it, but I just remember having to think up a nick and opening Word. I have an obsession with Horror movies, in in particular, the splatter / gore underground hardcore stuff that isn't easy to find. So my name comes from gore as in the type of movie full of gore.
It suits me well unless it's an election year... Otherwise most people realise what is meant by it.

The movies listed on the Splatter movie Wiki entry are actually good; Blood Feast is a good movie and even adds some humor, and Dawn of the Dead, is one of the best movies ever made. My GF bought a Dawn of the Dead 2007 Calander two days ago :)

Hmm, mine was an old yahoo chat nick I created while completely drunk. It sounded funny at the time (stupid vodka). Then I came to AO, didn't feel like thinking of a name so I used this one.

Well when I was first introduced to gaming about 5 years ago we were waiting outside a lan and waiting for it to open. My mate asked so what name you going to use. I have no idea, turned to my left and there was a pub which was closed.
The insignia on the door was Savannah with the name "Cider", that is where I got my name, stuck with it ever since.
I don't believe that I have any reason.................. after all I am a nihilist :p:D

Do I really have to explain?...its not that hard to figure out.
It is also a nickname I had in college...one of those super fans that got his jersey customized with my nickname written on the back...
I am also a strong support for decriminalization and legalization...but that is another story. However if you ever think about why certain things are legal and other things are illegal you'll find that it doesn't make much sense at all.
