when logging off, only one
antionline.com bbsessionhash
remained ( Mozilla )
That should be ok then. There are some issues with firefox and vbulletin logouts, those are known issues between that browser and this software. But the getting bounced thing, that should be cured by this.
Do you want that done with the "remember me" option checked or unchecked?Quote:

OK, did as you asked, it didn't clear the antionline cookies. I deleted them manually.Quote:

I have only been logged on for about 20 minutes now, so we will see. ;)Quote:

Right, and that's what it should be.
Dj, did you manage to stay logged in?
sorry I haven't had time to respond since my last post... but I followed what you said after the changes were made and I haven't been bounced since, but then again I haven't been posting either.
I'll keep an eye on it this afternoon and let you know what happens. Thanks for being responsive to issues JPnyc
Thanks man, I'll be waiting to hear.
Stayed on for yesterday afternoon, we will see how this morning goes. ;)Quote:

Thanks for the hard work though JPNYC. :)
T'weren't nothin'. Just wanna get it resolved. Who still has a login issue? A show of hands please! ;)
Mine seems to be staying on now as well
Great! Then maybe we've solved it. I felt all along it had to be a cookie issue.
Looks good Joe! I still log myself out regularly, but that is probably because I haven't had enough :drink:YET! :D
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! (dances around like a complete buffoon)
so far so good. Since you made your changes I haven't been logged off if I didn't want to be logged off. Good jorb :)
Hmmmm................sorry, just had it happen again, but I was sat in a reply for a long time (wives expect to be spoken to...........totally unreasonable IMO:D)
The work around was to login again, then it says something like "sorry, this forum is not accepting any new posts at the moment"............just back button your browser to your post, and send it;)
Hey, I think I have been on for over 60 minutes without logging myself off by mistake :halo:
EDIT: off topic/ Eileen confirms that the buttons look like Lotus Notes, but she will check on Monday
I also have this problem. It says I have 554 out of 500 and it is preventing me from sending/receiving messages. Can you still send/receive?Quote:

I don't use the PM *that* much, but it is useful. I suppose I can just enable users to email me until that gets cleared up.
Hey Hey,
I can relate to both of these... I use remember me and also save my credentials for the site in my browser... Everytime I visit AO I get the two login boxes (basically one above the other) which is quite annoying... However even though I get the two boxes I can browse as though I'm logged in.... (FireFox).... I'm hoping a fix is found for this in the near future.
As for PMs... Mine read 886 out of 500... essentially between all my folders I had 386.. i twas adding 386 + 500 for the first number.... Upon deleting a message this was reset...
Peace,
HT
I think the pm's which were carried over got duplicated multiple times. i saw a same pm over and over again in the box. there were atleast 5 copies. i just wiped it all out.Quote:

I will take care of yours right now.
Done. You should show 0 now.
JPnyc: Were you talking about resetting my messages? If so, it still says I have 554. I logged out and back in. Both my inbox and sent box still read 0, but when I try to send a message, it says I've exceeded my limit.
I tried to send a thanks to you for fixing the problem and here is what I see.
Ok, then it has to be reset to the raw DB field. That I can't take care of until tomorrow sometime. I'm not at the office now.
no worries. I appreciate you looking into it. :)
Ok, this should be taken care of now.
Hate to drag this up again JP, but I have beenQuote:

Then I have to assume it's a setting in IE6 there. No one else is getting this any longer. I'll think about which it might be, but I would also invite the membership to chime in with ideas.
Well, the first day after the fix I had no problems, but since I have been booted off several times.
I figured this time I would try Firefox on Linux ( was using XP before )
Logged in, went to eat dinner, came back, refreshed the screen and I was no longer logged in.
Went over to about:blank, cleared cache and cookies ( they were all still there )and tried again.
Usually takes about 15 min of inactivity on the front page to cause me to get the boot.
So Jp, it still seems to be happening, both in IE and FF. Balls back in your court.

I dunno what else to suggest, except logging out and in again to clear cookies. There is nothing on this end that can be causing it, or it would be universal in effect. Clear all cookies AND offline content. Sometimes it's stubborn enough to require both. These instances are rare but I have seen them before.
I've seen this bug before, ie being told that I've got more than the permitted maximum of inbox messages - it happened to me on Security Forums. I didn't bother try and solve it, having been told it was a problem with the forum software. In the end they changed their forum and I don't go there anyway now.
I seem to be having the opposite problem with FF, I can't log out. No problems with IE or any IE based browser, nor with Opera.
The problem is still consistent with me, both in FF and IE. :rolleyes:Quote:

I was getting this problem like yourself but now it seems to have gone away?
