level 7... do you actually use php? im only seeing a few include lines and thats it. the source says ur looking in the wrong place go back! whats that about? ive only learned a lil php, but all languages are pretty similar nowadays so if i saw code i think id be good... do i have to exploit his server? :)

p.s. i got the username and password for the first part, then it takes you to phat.php which is where im stuck. and now that i look at it the source says level 8 so maybe i beat 7 and am on 8? i dont know this whole thing is tricksy

it has to do with another image... and also Paint Shop Pro .. or PhotoShop ... something that can view layers... check out hack-test.com/phat.[something]

Anyone knows where to find the .psd file in level 8? I've been looking for it for two days... :D

I'm also stuck at level 8, but if you go back to the picture where you found the username and the password, you can see that underneath it something is scratched away, and Westin said, you had to photoshop something, so I'll ques that must be it. Unfortunatally, I don't have one, other then microsoft picture it 99' :P and that doesn't seem to work.

edit: But maybe I'm completely on the wrong track...

look at the source... particularly around the body tag... or read through this thread as I think this might have been covered... [not sure though]

think about the name of the html file you are viewing... :) if that doesn't help... pm me... but really give it a good look first...

I actually googled the answers for level one as I was so frustrated by it, and on the same thread was the answer to level two. In fact, I think level two is quite easy whereas level one is misleading. Once you've done level one you should sail through level two.

Tnx CopyRight but 131 is not pass. I think the password is may be the string value of "131" ??? but not able to input right one, now wht i do.

I was making the same mistake and wont spoil it for you alok !

Try to paste the code in this quick reply window and you'll know. I did the same. Its pretty clever. I was about to ask when i spotted it. You will too !

You could download the files onto your desktop and search among them .... IIRC I just disabled javascript.

Has anyone gotten passed level 10 yet? I am lazy... and tried using OCR software to pull the hex out of the image, but it didn't recognize all of it... so that was no help... and I am not looking forward to converting all of it by hand... I got as far as 'congrat' and decided to make another drink... it all went downhill from there... :drink:

I don't know anyone who's got past level 10 yet. I know what you mean about effort. I'm afraid I stopped doing it at level 6 because I just have so many other things to do and it was getting more time and more time consuming! In some ways I think 20 levels is too much, people are bound to lose interest. I came across another hack test which is slightly more attainable because there are only 11 levels. Also level one is much easier! Try it:

about one week ago I found this Hacking-Test you were taking about log ago (maybe a bit late...). So I found your forum and registered.(Thanks for the one or other hint!)
I passed Level 10 and now I´am in Level 11 and have no idea how to pass it! The author is just making fun there... There is just a line saying "What are you looking at?" But I´ve tried and checked the code... there was again a hidden messege in the background-image "Nice try!"... If I could I would beat the responsible up!!( A thought I got several times during the different Levels ;-P not meant seriously!)
I one of you still interested in this Test and would try to help me??

And Iam still going to school (13th year.. short for my final tests) thus Iam more likely online in my spare time (even if I wanted to, I couldn´t use my school time for internet-stuff because we are qua technical stuff near to the middleages at our school...)
Mhmmm it´s really the first time I had to consider these crazy timezones (maybe: setting up the systemclock not considered) so it´s not really astonishing that Iam ... well ... confused :p

Argh, level 7 I have what I believe is the user/password, I get an immediate repost of the same dialog box, this is different behaviour to entry of a "wrong" password, so is this a new level? or am I missing something....

...ok now sorted, "crack the password" which would seem to be level 9 now this looks difficult!

well , there are two long strings on level 10, one is hex annoyingly in an image, the other is ordinary text.

The hex seems to be just a congrats message.... but is there something else there, in between the words? - I've not managed to pull out anything meaningful yet

the second string.... think multiple conversions....

there is a url....... but not to a real site.... try using the virtual directory on the main dns name of this site. and you will get something else, except I know that isnt level 11.
