Ok. You know what I hate? When people make assumptions. I checked my logs but I can attest to the fact that I DID NOT make fun of your nick. Believe me, I've seen tonnes of nicks of a variety of types and such in my years of IRC chat.

I went through ALL my logs. (Yes, I log all my chats for this reason and others) And I see no reference to what you are talking about. Perhaps someone logged on as me (JP, please get a nickserv! Pretty please?).

The only thing that I will not tolerate on the chat is

a) people wanting to be "1337" hackers by downloading a program and yet, not having a clue about the OS
b) people being racist, sexist, etc.
c) spamming. (the politicians do enough thanks. I don't need to see more).

So I ask, sir/madam, that you retract your comment at claiming that I slandered you. Thank you.

I've been reading everyone's post on this subject...and I figured I would post my thoughts on the subject. :)

This post is not in response to Magic1’s post, I think that issue has already been addressed. This post deals with Darkmo0n's post; he had a lot of very good points.

In my opinion, I have noticed a lot of "garbage" being posted. I have noticed a lot of non-additive posts that in no way were related to security. Yes...I have noticed...

So what did I do? Well as earlier suggested "Leave...If you don't like it leave” That’s what I did...If anyone has noticed, I haven't been posting as much as I usually do.

You see, let me share with everyone a little secret...I don't come here to learn. The truth is, if I wanted to learn, I would do so by means of independent study. The sole reason I come here is to help people (I'm sure thats why alot of the other member come here too). The emails and private messages I receive from other members, I really do appreciate them! It lets me know that I am doing a good thing!

But let me get back to my point, I don’t want to be too hypocritical about this… because I too am guilty of posting a useless message here or their. And to tell the truth…I don’t care about the posts that are “garbage”, they usually add some comic relief. But the problem with posts that are “garbage” is that it gets difficult to find the legitimate posts.

I think a good solution to this problem is to have a forum section dedicated to “garbage” posts that are not displayed on the main page. I think that would keep people from getting discouraged because they have to sort the good posts from the bad.

This is not worth posting a thread about. If you have a problem with them, you need to take it up with them personally. There is nothing we can do about it.
