With all respect, but perhaps Oblio has a small point... let me explain before you flame or assign negative points. Not all ppl do like those songs;
Badmonkey is related to a victim and liked the song, but there are also family members that don't like such an actions. Important for me is that every human being respects every human being.
Some ppl find consolation in such songs, others not, we have to respect that.
Next, indeed it's some sort of hypocricism to give so much attention to the victims of the WTC and not to the thousands of children that die from hunger...but it's true that ppl have more attention for things that happen next to their door than far away... that's the truth
Still I have big problems with Oblio's post cause he called others lame for wrong reasons. If he had posted something like AcidSpectrum did, I would have agreed completly... but, hey, it was oblio posting this, could we expect something else from him?

ibilo is right. The world trade center, was made into a big deal. Sure we lost a lot of people, and I'm sorry for their familys, but we lost more people in practically any war, and there was not such an outbreack of whines a crys. Peoplee who heard of a dead friend felt sorry, but they didn't write songs for them, and go around telling people I been crying all day for the people who died. That is the dumbest song I have ever heard by the way! You want a decent song try this:
