Heads up on Audiogalaxy

Well gator, or GAIN is definitely in audio galaxy client version 0.609W for windows. Upon installation, the first thing that appears is the gator logo, ans informs you about what is going to be installed.
But, if you go back one step , back to version 0.608W, it gives you the option of not installing all the junk. Though I'm not quite sure whether it did or not on my system. To find this older copy, there are still sites other than the offical AG site that host this file still, and not the updated version.
There were other previous versions that installed gator without any notification sometime ago, only stated in the terms and conditions at the bottom.

Anyway, if you download the client from teh official site, it has Gator packaged with it.

If Audio Galaxy & Gator are such a pain in the ass, why not install another program for downloading? (Bearshare, Morpheus, Kazaa...)

Good point... Screw AudioGalaxy - enough hours of bordom trying to sort out AG as it is. Switch to Morpheus/mIRC/FTP Surfing for Mp3's guys...

...Alot of damned hassle gone out the window.

Personally I use mIrc to get music. Never had a problem (besides getting scaned 5x's a min)

I usually sit on irc.dal.net servers in the #mp3z and #mp3z-techno-dance rooms
I actually serve in there too. I've collected like 1700 different songs over the years.
