The sounds eminating from my "PoC" (Piece of Crap) can get downright nasty, but I just treat it like my Manager at work: Ignore it long enough and it will go away.

I had a custom built pc. Every time i accessed my hard drive it sounded like a jackhammer. LOL . Then one day the motherboard short circuited. I bought a new one and my hard drive has been back to normal. Weird but really nothing to worry about.
Just my two cents,

if your comp is not laggin or anything i'd say your str8, but you might wanna call gateway and ask them what the deal is with the morse code..haha

I have a huge case, and it makes those sounds... I don't think it is anything to worry about... My computers been doing it for years now... It almost sounds like floppy drive access, but much quieter, right? Anyways, I think that it is normal, though I have no clue what it is... My HD is a 20gig split into 5 partitions, and a single Segate 4 gig... The segate has linux, so isn't up in windows (I think)... The HDs make that sound on the other computers we have at my house, Windows and Linux, so there may not be a problem... Maybe it really isn't the HD though, maybe its the little pc speaker...
Oh, well... I guess it works fine so it should be fine...
