Here's another two cents worth...
Suppose the Feds rec'd word of a threat (electronic or otherwise) against a particular part of the US. The info about the threat came from "credible sources." After doing a little digging, the Feds decide to check things out - and start with your company.
Hey...they could have visited a lot of other buildings in the area. Never know. If the CEO got word from the Feds about a possible threat against your building, they could have been conducting a little investigating of their own to see how valid the threat is.
