The old 95 with 1.44 floppy's, what a pain. When it first came out everyone wanted it, but out of the 10 OS we ordered only two had workable diskets. The oher 8 were fubr. We finaly just baught the good set.

The same problem happened to me when i was trying to install win 98 on my 566... I was so angry and had to wipe the drive because I couldn't boot with a disk let alone try to bring up dos. I went to the Techie and took her disk and ended up wiping my hard drive and starting fresh with win 95 again.
Xenolithic, which problem did you have with 98? The loop thing or something else?
(In any case, that sucks you had to format....)
