It's easier to set the options on the 9x version of the Telnet terminal, like local echo and terminal type, it's also more accepting of diff. formats, and won't throw as many errors at ya.
The XP and ME terms r built inta DOS, and it just doesn't work as well, I was disaapointed when I saw that in XP, but you can always download different terminal emulators and stuff.

answer the guys question, howd you get your name?
and what exactly do you want to learn telnet for?

i don't even know what it is you are looking for anymore... what is the difference between all the windows... i think that is relatively obvious. telnet is not a "dos box" it is a text based program.... that is all.if you went to google and read the tutorials you wouldn't ahve so many questions...

Denial of Service is totally unrelated to the
operating system, MS-DOS.
It unfortunately has the same acronym D-O-S
Denial of service is a technique for harassing
Web servers, but we won't go into the
details.
BTW, many early computer programs resembled
a DOS prompt, because computers weren't
always powerful enough to carry the burden
of a Graphical User Interface (GUI)
