damn..I'm the only one ACTIVLY trying to pice together my Social life....I don't have a G/F so my life is sorta empty, and sice my OWN comp doesn't have Internet (Anymore) I can spend up to 16 hour's just coding/gaming/etc...
I'm starting to go out more though, and I might end up with some one (Finger's crossed).

By the time I leave work - I've had about enough of computers. I've even lost the motivation to do anything with my own site half of the time.
I like the work, I still do a lot of work at home, but you have to have time away from thee "box" and we all know which one I am talking about -- gotta get out and have a few pints and blow off some steam!
heh my g/friend is constantly attaking me about being a geek but she has managed thus far to get me to quit smoking which in itself is a major achievment - give up my computer??? ah huh like thats going to happen ;)
I dunno how she can justify calling me a computer geek...she has more formal qualifications in IT than I do :D heh she could programme excel/access machros in her sleep!! But I split my time between the computer and her - from i wake up till 7 am on the computer....7 till 1/3am with her.....1/3am am on computer till I finally fall asleep - weekends we go out at night and i spend the day time just relaxing with her....
So ok my social life doesn't expand much beyond my g/friend but the majority of my friends are at uni - and I am at hom atm so......

I have MANY friends at school (I can only think of two people that I know dislike me), but only a few close friends that I actually hang with outside of school. I usually get out 3 or 4 times a week for social reasons, and I spend about 4-5 hours a week doing something online, and about 15 hours doing stuff offline.....
The key is balancing your social life with the whirlpool of the computer world. My nights on the comp I find that 6 hours have gone by and my eyes are glued open and my tounge is hanging out ....which is fun indeed. Also benifical indeed as well. It is nothing compared to a sweet night with my other half ...with my eyes glued open and my tounge hanging out. :booty:
yeah, I'm going to defcon. All the same, I have both a social life and a "nerd" life. I enjoy computers alot though and would like being on it more.
In fact, I think there is a computer addict phenomenon (sorry for the language).
I have used computer for 5-6 years and, in first, it was to play!!!!
But with Zindoz, there is a lot of bugs and problems (it's not a revelation for anybody I think) and reparations after reparations I have learned more and more things about computers.
And with all knowledge I want to know more...
It is a fascinating search and, as I have not a really social personality, I have to force me to keep a social life but it is difficult.
I think there is a time for all things. the dificulty is only to determine what hour it is :)
