Dustin -- from Old Norse "Thor's stone'; Quenya Eru (Thor was a god, and Eru is the general Quenya for god), ondo 'stone', so your name would be Eruondo.

I have a think a difficult name its weird to behin with-JayLee. Weird mother and no not asian or from the south.
Oh, this is freaky.
My first name is a variant of Darius, who was a king, and is loosely translated (persian) as 'preserver'... actually, you can bend it several ways IMO. But anyway, I first checked 'king'. High-King in quenya is Tararan. Terr is short for Terran (long story)...
Terr
Terran.
Teraran.
Creepy.
Kezil--> I hate you. I better get some AP's for this...
Andy -- from Andrew, so: Andrew -- 'manly', Quenya wea, 'manly', switch the w for a v, make it masculine, and you get Veon or Veo
Ben -- Benjamin: from Hebrew 'son of the right hand' and also 'son of the south'; unfortunately Quenya word for 'south hyarmen is related to hyarya 'left', while Hebrew for 'right hand' is related to 'south', but Hyarion (-ion 'son) works okay.
Vicky -- from Victoria, feminine of Victor, from the Latin 'conqueror', mapar 'seizer', thus Mapar for the masculine, Mapare for the feminine.
James -- from the Hebrew 'supplanter'; Quenya kaita 'to place', then form encaita 'replace' close to the meaning of 'supplant', so possibly Encaitar
Irene -- from the Greek 'peace'; Quenya [i]sére[/b] or série
Mara -- from the Hebrew 'bitter'; Quenya SÃ*ra 'bitter'
Batiah -- no equivolence that I care to find
Meagan -- from the Celtic 'pearl'; Quenya marilla 'pearl', thus Marille
Rose -- 'rose' (of course); Quenya losille 'rose', so Losille
Gary -- from German 'spear'; Quenya ecco 'spear, Ecco will suffice.
Michael -- of unknown origin 'Who Is Like God?'; Quenya man 'who', ve 'like', Eru 'God', so Manveru
Shannon -- from the Gaelic 'wise river'; Quenya saila 'wise', cel 'go, run (about water)', so Sailacel
Lanny -- I'm unsure what the root name for this one would be...
Laguna -- unsure on this one as well...
Leslie -- Old English 'meadow-land'; Quenya salque 'grass', -ndor 'land', thus Salquendor
William -- Old German 'will + helmet'; Quenya selma 'will', cassa 'helmet', so Selmacasso
Alyssa -- unknown origin 'of noble birth', Quenya kallo 'noble man', nosta 'birth', so Kallanosta
Bert -- from Herbert, Old German 'army/host + bright'; Quenya rimbe 'host', calima 'bright', thus Rimbecalimo or Rimbecalimon
Nate -- from Nathaniel; Hebrew 'he [God] has given'; Quenya Eru 'God', anantie 'has given', so Eruntion
Paul -- from Latin 'small, little'; Quenya piinea 'small', titta 'little', masculinize them both to get Pityon, or Titton
Scott -- 'of Scottish origin', and since there were no Scottish people in Middle Earth during the Third Age, this one can't be translated
Emma -- probably from German 'entire, whole'; Quenya ilya 'all', thus Ilya or Ilye
There I hope you're happy. And from now on it's one name at a time, so don't think it'll be funny to try to get poor little Eruntalon to do this over and over.

Very interesting Terr. JayLee... I'm gonna do each name individually and try to combine it. Here goes!
Jay -- from Latin 'to rejoice'; Quenya ala 'to thrive', so it'd be Alar
Lee -- from Old English 'wood'; Quenya taure 'wood, forest', thus Tauro
Combine those to get AlaTauro
--Eruntalon
Very good job on those names. The one's you missed are the ones I didn't expect you to get anyway, and don't worry, I won't be giving you lists like that anymore, just wanted to get translations for some friends' names. Here's another word to try:
Dragon/drake
For Laguna, I believe the root is "lagoon(feminine)"
btw, the antipoints have been sent
btw everyone, I'm looking for characters/scripts/fonts for my language. If any of you would care to submit some to me of your own design please do at [email protected] . Thank you.
That's what I figured on Laguna, and I looked through as much of the Quenya language as a could, and was unable to find a word for lagoon.
Drake -- unknown origin 'dragon'; Quenya fenume, amlug, angulooke, looke 'dragon', so any of the following would do as a name: Fenumo(n), Amlugon, Angulooko(n), Looko(n)

jan!
Any alternates for a "Darius"-root name? :D
I found some other ways to cut it, such as Maneharno or something...
Gosh... that sounds worse than my eerie first-attempt "Terararan" attempt :P I think I'll keep the 'Terraran' version for now.
The problem is many names actually actually have many distinct different meanings, depending on the area they are from, culture, language, etc, even if the name itself is pronounced about the same.
