souleman, no, I didn't see the comments. (I didn't even fully read this new article, just the first one or two paragraphs...) I've got the book, A Dilbert Future, where that article is published and I also read that from the internet only a couple of months ago.
Yes, micael would already have felt my negative AP's if he didn't post the source there (hmm, scary? ;)).

who the hell made this article?? lmao ive been a comp geek all my life and how the hell is this true??
i think someones living in a dream world

ZO> I wasn't trying to accuse you of not citing your source. I was talking about the guy that posted it at neworder who didn't cite the Dilbert book. I looked at the comments on neworder and there was an argument on wether or not the poster should have cited his source.
lench> gotta love Dilbert.

I don't think it has to do w/being a "hacker". There's superior intelligence associated with a person who truly has the capacity to understand the bits and pieces of information systems and technology. But for most women whose knowledge of the term hacking is limited to Hollywood's big hits like Matrix and Swordfish, being attracted to good looking actors posing as deviant rebels, high tech criminals is only natural.

I have that book too, and the NewOrder article is a shameless piece of plagarism. It's not even using Scott Adam's work as a source, it practically IS the same article with a few changed phrases and word choices.
The loser plagarist and his article aside, I see the topic as largely wishful thinking. Very wishful, should you take it literally.

I love my 'puters, but I still say ya gotta "collect some skulls" every once in a while...

Terr i like your samuel clemmens quote variation tho i would have left idiot instead of replaceing it with script kiddie, that way it helps emphasize the stupidity
as for the article, if that were true i wouldnt strike out so much, nice dream tho...
