2 things, first I always have anti-virus running and scan every file that I download. And as for rh, I have had it for 4 months not 3 but the time for editing that post has expired.
Can't blame you for giving up on MS. When it does some crazy Sh** and for no reason....well. As for me, I am a XP Pro user and VERY content with it. So long as u turn off Auto update, Error Rep and System Restore (Along with about 20 Services U DON'T NEED) it runs great.
But that is mearly one opinion in a sea of sh**! (No offense to anyone :)
